Layer 04 / Case Study Detail

Engineering publication surface

Framework example

Project case study framework example

This example page shows the approved MAXMUS case study structure so future project narratives can be added with minimal layout work and no marketing padding.

Publishing status

Approval gated

Framework example only

This page exists to show the intended long-form case-study structure. It should guide future real project stories, not substitute for them.

Return to the projects index or use the experience route for current validated delivery history.

Problem statement

MAXMUS needed a reusable publishing system for engineering case studies that could explain decisions, constraints, and delivery trade-offs without falling back to resume bullets or README-style dumping.

Framework example. Replace with project-specific problem framing when a real case study is approved.

Section 02

Constraints

The framework must stay within the existing MAXMUS OS visual language.

It must remain static-first Astro with no runtime JavaScript requirement.

  • No fake achievements or placeholder metrics.
  • Composable sections with low duplication.
  • Readable on desktop and mobile without a separate article system.

Section 03

Architecture

The framework is built from typed case study content plus reusable Astro components for the index card, hero summary, and section rendering.

  • Typed project summary entries for the `/projects` route.
  • Typed long-form case study records for individual pages.
  • Static route generation for future case-study slugs.

Section 04

Decisions

The framework favors engineering storytelling over marketing structure. Each case study gets explicit sections for architecture, decisions, trade-offs, delivery, and lessons learned.

  • Use semantic sections instead of a giant markdown blob.
  • Keep unfinished areas explicit with status notes.
  • Reuse existing Card, Section, and RouteHero primitives.

Section 05

Trade-offs

A typed section model is more explicit than freeform markdown, but it gives stronger consistency and makes future testing easier.

  • Better structure, slightly higher upfront content-shaping effort.
  • More maintainable than one-off custom project pages.

Delivery

This initial pass establishes the page architecture, reusable components, and one example route. It does not claim a published production case study yet.

Unfinished by design. Replace with factual implementation chronology for real project narratives.

Section 07

Results

The result of TASK-041 is a working content platform for future case studies. It provides a truthful example page, route-level discoverability, and a reusable structure for engineering storytelling.

  • No client or delivery metrics are claimed in this example.
  • Future real case studies can now be added without re-architecting the route.

Section 08

Lessons learned

Engineering case studies need a stronger narrative container than experience bullets alone. Establishing the structure early makes later publishing more disciplined.

Section 09

Future evolution

Replace the framework example with approved real case studies over time while keeping this layout system, content model, and validation approach stable.

  • Add reviewed project-specific outcomes once they are approved.
  • Expand supporting media only when it improves clarity.
  • Keep static rendering unless an explicit product decision requires otherwise.
